VALTOS

23.07.2026 ∙ GLASGOW COMMONWEALTH GAMES

My steelpan recordings featured in Valtos’ music for the Opening Ceremony of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, held on 23 July 2026 in the presence of His Majesty King Charles III and members of the Royal Family.

My steelpan featured within the Caribbean section of the ceremony’s recorded soundtrack, contributing an authentic Caribbean voice to a celebration of musical traditions from across the 74 nations taking part in the Games.

L’ESPACE SAUVANIE

05.04.2026 ∙ CREATIVE RESIDENCY

I flew to France with my steelpan to join Tommy Khosla and Nirmal Chohan at L’Espace Sauvanie for a collaborative residency exploring the meeting point between electronic music and live instrumentation.

Bringing together steelpan, tabla and sitar, we explored the interplay between Caribbean and South Asian musical traditions, electronic production and live improvisation, developing new material through experimentation and spontaneous performance. The residency culminated in a live showcase for the local community, where we shared the music we had developed together during our time in France.

LAVENDER RODRIGUEZ

03.05.2024 - Present (2026) ∙ LIVE BAND

I perform as part of Lavender Rodriguez’s live band, bringing a sprinkle of steelpan to their genre-bending world of alt-pop, electronic dance and punk-inflected anthems.

Lav’s music refuses to sit neatly in one genre, moving between big pop hooks, electronic production, dance music, R&B and more experimental influences. It’s energetic, playful and often a little unexpected - built around a sense of movement between different sounds and identities.
